I'm very pleased to report that the Head of School (HOS) search committee is up and running.  We have met twice in the past week and are busy researching and gathering information about the best way to go about our search.  Before we post our HOS position, we need to make sure we have an updated job description and a leadership statement.  This is so our potential applicants know what the specific job requirements are and what type of a person we are looking for as our new HOS.  In order to do this, we are setting up meetings with the Meyer Academy staff and parents, so we have the proper input on qualities and characteristics that are important for our new HOS.  Once we are finished with these meetings, and the job description and leadership statement are complete with board approval, we will post the position.  We are researching now the best places to advertise our job opening.

Once we post the job and begin gathering resumes, we will begin the interview process.  The search committee will be responsible for the interviewing.

I will continue to update you on a regular basis on our search.  I am honored to be chairing this committee of highly dedicated individuals who all have an important role to play in our search.
