April 2nd, 2009 Last week, members of the HOS search committee met with the school administrators, teachers, and other staff members all in separate meetings to get their input on what qualities and characteristics they are looking for in a new HOS. We are looking forward to meeting with the parents on Thurs., April 2 at 8:15am and 7pm in Strauss Hall. (We will discuss the same thing at both meetings) Again, these meetings are to hear what qualities and characteristics the parents are looking for in a HOS. We also had the opportunity to meet with Rabbi Josh Elkin, the Executive Director, of PEJE (Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education). Rabbi Elkin gave us great advise for running a HOS search, and we feel confident, based on his feedback, that we are off to a positive start.
The search committee met on 3/30. We are working on updating the HOS job description, compiling our leadership statement and preparing to post the position as soon as possible. Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, 4/6.
Sincerely,
Roslyn Leopold
